Hello. My first post, so please go easy on me.

A family member lives in a former council block flat in Westminster, London that has a big appliance in the kitchen. We don't know what it does, have never used, and are pretty sure it's redundant. It takes up a lot of space so was hoping to remove it to make much needed space.

The appliance appears to be boxed in with only a control panel on display. The control panel shows "Creda night storage control". I've attached some pictures.

I'd like to know if it can be removed and what trade can help me to do it.

Creda were/are well known for their storage heaters. Heaters that use cheap electricity at night to store the heat in bricks and then let it out during the day when required. That's quite a unit mind you and may be a warm air unit too that moves the heat around the house.

Suggest you get an electrician in to have a look.
