has anyone used a flow switch on the hot feed on a shower to turn on an extractor fan?

i am thinking of putting one on my new concealed shower to a manrose mixed flow timer fan.

don't want one using the lights and don't like the humidistat idea

I wouldn't do it, I'd run a separate wall switch outside the shower room - sorry read I'd employ a qualified electrician to do it.
