Hmmm, decisions, decisions, decisions.
Shall I have a Siemens (recognised make with good reputation) with 5 year warranty or a Gorenje with a 2 year warranty. (Aren't they Slovenian?)
Some Gorenje stuff is pretty well OK, they're more budget range than Siemens. Can't you go and check both out? See what the difference in quality is like and then base your choice on that and the difference in price?
To be honest, I don't know what are the best ones to get. I was hoping to get a bit of honest advice from the sales guy, but I do realise that they'll have manufacturers that they deal with and get commission or whatever for selling 'em. The Gorenje does have a 5 year warranty, which I thought was good, but like that, didn't know anything about them. The kitchen guy only seems to deal with them or Whirlpool. I was going to try and just get everything from the one place to avoid any hassle and possible mix ups with delivery times, but would I be better sourcing my appliances elsewhere?
Seems we agree. I've already gently pushed toward the Siemens (Bosch in a posh frock).
John Lewis own brand tends to be Electrolux, which isn't so good.
Don't forget, probably an integrated appliance so limited choice.
Thanks guys. My washing machine is Bosch. One of the places is a Neff distributer and from what I can gather, he's actually giving me really good prices on the Neff stuff - is that not posh Bosch as well? If it is and he's giving me a good deal - ie better than I can find Bosch stuff, should I stick with the Neff?
I thought this new kitchen lark was gonna be easy! I think I've aged 10 years and it's not even started yet!
