The door I have is a fiberglass skinned thermal door with wood grain effect, originally stained with a dark water based colour.

Now I want to re-colour it White.

Could I get a White stain and apply several coats to cover the dark stain.

Or what other method could use to re-colour it, without losing the grain and joints effect.

thanks

Found that either a Acrylic paint or a Gel stain could be used to stain/paint.

My problem is the door has been stain a very dark colour and I want it to be a White now.

Any clues or Tips. Also it appears acrylic or gel is not widely available.

thanks
