APPRENTICE DESPERATE FOR WORK!

I am 17 years old. I left school last July (2007) and have been working as a labourer since then. I have recently completed a 1 week course in plastering and as I enjoyed it so much I have decided that I would like to pursue this as a career. How do I get a job as an apprentice. I have telephoned the entire contents of the yellow pages! I am desperate/willing/keen/hard working/reliable - have my own car (with full driving licence!).
