Aqua sensor on my turbomax is playing up

hi tony i suspect the aqua sensor on my turbomax is playing up ,heeting works fine but when i run hot water the water gets hot and then cools down then you can hear the boiler fire up again the water gets hot again then cool just keeps going from hot to cold all the time do you think this is the aqua sensor . many thanks jonny

That sounds like the secondary heat exchanger is blocked!

But you should not add to a two year old thread but instead start your own new one!

Was it you who had quoted £120 two years ago then?

That seemed fairly reasonable to me.

hi tony thanks for that .i descaled the heat exchanger a few weeks ago because the flow was getting slow ,but things did not get any better ,and at the time wondered if the hot water pipe from the heat exchanger could also be blocked . i will take it off tomorrow and have a look thanks again , jonnny
 
Naaa not 1 of mine but I would be willing to quote it after I had seen it to verify the problem ;)

hi just thought i descaled the heat exchanger with brick cleaner do you think this might of damaged it thanks ,jonnny
 
hi just looked at my boiler, heat exchanger and the hot water pipe from the exchanger to the taps are clear of any blockages still get low flow through the taps and still get hot and cold water .is it possible the aqua sensor may be slightly blocked thanks, jonnny
