I've picked up a few MDPE stop taps but I'm not sure whether the mechanism will cause a flow restriction..

My concern is chiefly that a 32mm stopcock has a valve arrangement where the water flows through a hole approx 15mm diameter. While it wouldnt have the friction of a length of 15mm pipe, I can't help but think that it's not much different to those flow restrictor washers one fits to shower hoses.. What's the point of having a large water pipe if everything is going to have to come through a tiny hole? Should I send them back and look for a 32mm ball valve or am I worrying over nothing and in the grand scheme of things it will make nearly no difference to pressure and flow rates?
