Are unvented hot water cylinders noisey?

The fact they are under pressure I presume you dont hear any flow of water filling etc?

Its just I am thinking of moving the airing cuboard into a bedroom.

you can hear the water running through them but no louder that a ballvalve running I reckon

That was a quic reply! Thanks Corgi man

BTW : Are their disadvantages to having a hot water cylinder in the garage?
ie. Loss of heat / freezing (I'm away a lot the housei s empty for up to a week at a time) / cost of moving pipework etc

no disadvantages really

and good insulation will protect against frost and heat loss
