Hi guys and Gals,

Please help im in despair, i have recently had the above boiler fitted after my last one died  , the central heating was a great welcome after 7 days with no heat and no hot water.

My dilemma is that my central heating is working fine no probs there, my hot water down stairs is excellent, absolutley scolding but upstairs the bath and sink are only quite warm at best.

The boiler is downstairs in the kitchen but as it is brand new i wouldnt have thought that would make any differencem, please help.

Have you got a mixer shower? If you have, it could be introducing cold water into the hot water supply whilst running water. If this is the case you would find that the shower will be able to get the same hot water as downstairs.

Hi thanxs for the reply,

The shower is a mixer shower and is down stairs, not a prob there,

all the radiators have been bled and are belting out heat, i wouldnt have thought it would be the thermocouple as the boiler is only 2 weeks old.

Just had an email from ariston and they have told me to check the upsairs mixer taps as they may be the problem.

It could just be the flow rate is more than the boiler can heat!

Measure the hot water flow. The boiler can only heat about 10 litres per minute!

How do i measure the flow rate, do i literally just fill jug and time it to see how much goes through ???

And wouldnt that effect the kitchen taps to, cos there scolding.

tried changing the mixer taps but to no avail, shows what Ariston no doesnt it.
