Hello, has anyone come across this fault,hot water works fine, heating gets to 40 deg on the display lights and shuts down,cools and repeats process.

The diverter valve has been checked, the water quality is good, the sensor has been replaced, the boiler will stay on with a spare sensor detached from the boiler, all the radiators will heat up nice and quick.

It sounds like the PCB but at £160 I thought I would check

It could be PCB (very expensive!) B4 going there, check the lead from the CH Thermister and the PCB for good connection and damage

Sensor fault.

The control knob spindle on the central heating had worn out and was not turning up the aperture on the PCB, easy fix was swapping with the hot water spindle as this is always set to maximum.
