Hi Here we go again with this piece of rubbish boiler. Every time I top up the boiler the water service tap leaks. For a couple of years now fiddling with the switch and running the heating seemed to seal it till the next time, but now I cannot stop the leak. I will now have to replace the dripping water service flow tap and would like a bit of advice before starting. It looks a pretty easy DIY job but have a couple of concerns. If I turn off the cold water inlet tap and drain the boiler will this enable me to change the tap without getting water everywhere or does the whole system need draining. Secondly when I refill the boiler does it need bleeding somehow or does it disperse itself. Below is a picture of the offending tap on the left.
