Do these boilers have a problem consuming excess gas. It is a condenser.

I have a tenant who says her gas bills are very high so wondered if there could be a potential problem with the boiler.

It is checked every yr for the cert you need and the previous tenant never questioned a thing.

How much gas do you think a 2 bed terrace house will use up per week in the winter. She is using £30 a week this winter and is on the meters.

I don't think she appreciates how expensive it is getting to heat the homes.

The obvious question to ask is how hot does she run it? I have inspected rented houses where the tenant had the boiler going 24/7. It was roasting and it wasn't particularly cold outside either. Now, I like a warm house but there are limits

Well £40 pw during the winter is about £800 pa and rather below average!

People just don't realise how expensive fuel is.

Probably on a more expensive card tariff too!

yes it is a card tariff.

She is new to running a house again and just doesnt realise how expensive it is in the winter. Complaining of water bills yesterday etc.

So many people i see just have no handle on money at all. It is criminal.
