Ariston Type 23 MFFI Micro Genus Combi Gas Boiler problem

When I switch on the C.H. the gas ignites then goes out after a few seconds, but there is still a background noise as if a pump or fan is still running. However, if I then turn on a hot tap, the boiler ignites and heats the water, and when I turn the tap off again, the boiler goes out - as you would expect - and a few seconds later it re-ignites and heats the radiators. The water pressure is about 2 Bar, there are no faults indicated on the control panel and all radiators are set at maximum.
The boiler is only about three years old. Anyone got any ideas?

I cant help but I'm having a very similar problem. other way round with mine. i need to get the CH to work for a few minutes and then the hot taps will work.

If i find out what is causing mine i will shout you, you never know but it could be the same thing.
