Ariston washer AWD125 Margarita 200 Tumble problem

Hi

My washer/dryer is acting erratic, dryer works sometimes and other times it doesn't, no apparent pattern, any ideas

More info needed does it get hot does the dial just click round etc.

The dial doesn't click round, just clicks past the tumble and then ends the cycle.

As I mentioned, it sometines works OK.
