Does anyone know much about this?

In the past I have cut/repaired/rerounded pitch fibre pipe but today I had to expose it then wait till tomorow when a specialist will come and remove it for me. Then I can pipe up in plastic, backfill and reinstate as usual.

I might have even mentioned it on here before but can't find the thread if I have.

It comes under the non-licensed category - training, PPE, risk assessment etc. not forgetting correct disposal.

From memory it's classified as the same risk & handling as asbestos cement.

To be honest, I've always thought that the content of the pitch fibre pipework is likely to present more of a hazard than the pipe!

Me too!!! I hate sweet corn :LOL:

The guys that came to remove the pipe we're not too pleased it was still in the ground but it was their company that said is was dangerous and that we shouldn't touch it.

I wonder what they charged for 2 hours and 8mtrs of pipe?
