astra alternator

hi everyone,
I have a 1993 astra diesel and would like to know what the output in amps that my alternator is. The alt that is on is fine but the bearing sounds like it is on its way out. If i buy a replacement what spec do I need to look for?

Don't know where you live but if you are near a Unipart factor that includes Partco Autoparts, Brown Brothes, Serck Intertruck, just give the Reg No, it will come up on there computer.They will give you the correct part for your Astra, and at a good price.

i had one on a asta van with a very big sound system that put out 14volts 40 amps and i think it was a standard part.. hope this helps u

55 Amp/ 65/75 are the normal ratings. Depending on the spec.
