vauxhall astra G 1.6 poor starting

Hi i have a problem with a Astra G 1.6 02 REG, starts fine when cold 1st time but when warm turns over a few times before it fires, sounds/feels like no compression, but runs fine, swapped coil pack still same any ideas.

Did you ever find out the cause of this?

My 2002 1.6 16v SXi is doing this exact thing - could do with knowing a solution too.

My Astra is now mended. The EGR valve was knackered - new one installed an car running like new!
