Astracast Targa taps

I have just replaced the cold tap on my sink (valve) but the new tap seems incredibly easy to turn. I replaced it because it was too hard to turn and cracked the plastic on the handle but now it's gone to other extreme and seems too loose to the point of it being unable to control the water flow.

Is this normal? Are they meant to be this easy to turn? I am pretty new to the DIY world and may be asking a silly question but are these types of taps adjustable?
