Stiff Taps

EXCELLENT!! I managed to get the water isolated. It was those two taps I originally thought. Anyway I went to undo the tap and guess what???

My adjustable spanner isn't adjustable enough D'Oh!

Oh well I guess it's a job thats gonna have to wait a little while longer until I get some more spanners. But at least I now know what I am doing I can view this as my 'dry' run

so you stopped the cold from the mains with 2 x stopcocks.
how did you isolate the hot water ?

I don't know LOL but it stopped running I checked all the hot taps in the flat and had no water whatsoever.
