At least the Tories aimed for higher backhanders than a pair of specs and some new strides.

Four out of five pensioners who are expected to lose out on the winter fuel payment are on or below the poverty line, according to AgeUK.

You see some pensioners spend most of their pension (or more) on care.
I’m surprised that you are suddenly so worried about pensioners given that you are so keen on keeping workers on starvation wages

1. not my claim
2. different statement.

You understand the difference between below, on and just above?

I’m surprised that you are suddenly so worried about pensioners given that you are so keen on keeping workers on starvation wages
Except I'm not and have stated, I am keen for people with low skills that attract low wages to be helped to develop skills which attract higher wages.

The alternative is inflation and job losses.

This is factually wrong and misleading, but of course you know that.
Four out of five pensioners who are expected to lose out on the winter fuel payment are on or below the poverty line, according to AgeUK.

So

More than 80% of pensioners in poverty set to lose the winter fuel payment

is wrong?

2.5 million of the three million pensioners living below or just above the poverty line will no longer receive the benefit, according to Age UK

is wrong?

Four in five pensioners living below or just above the poverty line are set to lose the winter fuel payment under planned benefit cuts.

is wrong?

its widely reported.. I suggest its probably you who may have it wrong.

Except I'm not and have stated, I am keen for people with low skills that attract low wages to be helped to develop skills which attract higher wages.
And the vast majority of pensioners below the poverty line can claim pension credit/WFA by phone.

So

More than 80% of pensioners in poverty set to lose the winter fuel payment

Did I say it was? Do you think everyone below the poverty line should get WFA, irrespective of age?

The statement is about pensioners.

if more than 80% of pensioners in poverty are going to lose the payment, then that appears to align with Four out of five pensioners who are expected to lose out on the winter fuel payment are on or below the poverty line, according to AgeUK.

Perhaps Labour should have just left it alone.

Is motorbiking suddenly concerned about poverty in the UK?

What brought that on?

Why only pensioners?

What does it have to do with gifts to politicians, such as gold wallpaper and overseas holidays?

Yes, which is completely different to this,
Four out of five pensioners who are expected to lose out on the winter fuel payment are on or below the poverty line, according to AgeUK.

No, it implies 3 out of 4 don't need it in the first place. If you take the poverty line as the measure.
That doesn't tie in with 2/3 getting credits or 60% . ;) I was being pedantic. Depends where you read it.

The real problem is various sources saying what ever they like and how they choose to look at it. Also what number of actual pensions they are they referring to. That tends to encourage political views which MBK's sources are. He likes so accept them.

If some one say there are questions fine by me but do consider other factors. For instance if some one is in care at home a social worker will watching what is going on. Family probably will be as well. So some may not have one. How many? The councils can provide money.

Run into credit problems with the supplier. They are obliged to handle it. I'd hope none would take advantage but they do have the average fuel bills and other data.
