I want to put up a flagpole onto my shed. I've attached a pic of shed. I want pole to go vertical, so it will have to come a little bit due to roof. Is there anything that I can just buy off the shelf or not Regards Doug

havent got a clue but think things like
"cranked offset or extended flag pole brackets" may give you some luck

I have a 6m flagpole, the diameter is about 30mm at the lowest section. I think it is carbon-fibre reinforced resin.

I got some 32mm pipe clips. Readily available, cheap, easy to use.

To space it past the roof overhang, I recommend you bolt a length of fencepost or something to the shed, and screw your clips to that. It will be a better, straighter, more level and much stronger material than the shed cladding. Bolt it to the cornerpost or a stud if you can. You can get munsen rings at higher cost, but leverage will tend to rip them out.

If the pole moves in the wind, you can brace it with guyropes, possibly to the further corners of the shed.

Did you get planning consent for that flagpole John?
ISTR that 4.6m is the limit without it.

I live in an area where there are quite a few retired seafarers, and flags are not uncommon on certain days of the year.

No doubt there will be a few more when Boris achieves his ambition of breaking up the DisUnited Kingdom.

My flagpole is telescopic, and is currently collapsed and back in its case.

You could fix a piece of 32mm sink waste pipe to the shed and slide your pole into that.
