I am trying to fit a long (4 bulb) light in the attic. However the cables are bang in the middle of the (top of the eves where they join/ upside down V thing if you know what I mean). It is almost impossible to get the screws in and keep it tidy. Is there anything that I can buy to slot in place that can rectify this problem or is it a case a screwing in some wood to level off the surface I'm putting the light in??
