Hi, ive just recently put in tongue and groove flooring in my attic and want to store stuff up there, such as books etc but i'm worried that it could get damaged as in cold weather it gets frosty up there and the only protection is the black sheeting on the inside of the roof. Ive heard that i can buy some sort of damp proof sheeting which will roll down the inside of the roof, does anyone know what this is?

Vapour sheet,I think I've seem them in Wickes. You could go further by insulated the roof by putting 50mm thick insulation slab between roof rafter but you must have 50mm airflow at the back of the roof tiles to the slab,or you could use the white polythene foam sheet instead which is lighter & cleaner to handle.Must have a gap at the top for air flow circulation then put vapour sheet in front of it.

Or put a heater in with a frost stat...that should keep the books nice and cosy.
