Hi All,

I just had a new Vaillant 630 system boiler fitter with Megaflo cylinder and underfloor heating, it has 3 Honeywell motorised valves fitted in total in a out house.

My friend has the setup but the only difference is that he has a auto bypass thingy, so i asked my plumber why mine wasn't fitted with one. His response was that these boilers already have a built in auto bypass

Should I call him back to fit this or is he correct that I don't need one.

Thanks!

If it has a built in bypass valve. It will be explained in your installation manual. Read that. If it's a requirement then it will say so.

The system needs an auto bypass. Get him back to fit one.

Apparently not. From the installation manual:

3.11.2 System by-pass
An automatic system by-pass is provided in the boiler. The boiler is suitable for use in systems with thermostat- ic radiator valves and no additional by-pass is required. The by-pass valve is adjustable, see section 5.8.
