Hi all, any opinions on this type of weather seal on a rear exterior residential wood door?

I want an absolute minimum/zero threshold, but obviously still want to keep the weather out. There are 2 steps down to ground level and doorway is quite sheltered, so just needs to protect against a draught and rain. Looks like it would do the job, but i've never seen this type in use before. Looking at installing the below in tandem to deflect rain.
