avi etc to mpeg4

utube says the best format is mpeg4.

all my clips are not mpeg4, but i can make them avi.

has anyone any good recomendations for an avi to mpeg4 converter? o dont mind paying

Have heard MediaCoder is/was ok ... Not used it myself... Tis free (GNU General Public License) so maybe worth a try.
