AWOW Smart Thermostat

Hi

Sorry if this seems repetitive regarding fitting a Smart Thermostat but the examples I've found so far appear to be different.

I have a Danfoss RET 230P and would like to change it for an AWOW WiFi Smart Thermostat.

The wiring diagram on the new unit seems more complicated than ones on other threads.

Any help would be appreciated - I'm confused by the different terminology and labelling.

L and N are straightforward, however it’s not clear if it’s linked internally for the Live and Com, and volt free there appears to be screws missing. Do you have the correct one? Does it have an instruction manual? - I have tried looking, and all it returns is electric heating.

The manual shows both boiler and heating direct - don't know why 1 to 4 are smaller connections!

L&N to L&N
Link L to 3 & Black to 4
or link L to 5 & Black to 6 both will work

you are totally correct mate, on the new valliant range they can be wired with only one core and a link, the older ones cant , havent tried doing it as a short cut maybe would work dont know to be honest
