B&Q air conditioners

I have installed a wall mount B&Q air conditioner. It has been in for around 1 1/2 years.

recently I have noticed that when it is in heating mode the air con unit will cut out after a short while (10 mins aprox), and will not restart. you have to manualy turn the unit off and on again.

Does anyone have any advice??

Sounds like it's overheating, check the filters.

Just checked the filters in the indoor unit, they were pretty full of crud. They are washable so have cleaned them up & popped them back in and running it it heating mode for a 'test'.

Will let you know if this works.

According to the (less than) helpful manual, the 2 outer filters should be washed in "neutral" detergent, then rinsed and left to air dry, while the 2 inner filters need to be merely vacuumed clear. What happens if you simply vacuum (or wash) all of them is unclear.
A bit like the instructions, really.
