Post someone taking out my wing mirror I've fitted a new one supplied by a scrappie. The car is a fairly base model variant but the replacement mirror has 15 wires running to it rather than the 9 on mine. There is also some sort of lens on the mirror surround facing the car (collision warning/lane departure indicator?) and the mirror glass itself has a 5 mm wide border all the way round that is a slightly different colour
The control module mounted to the door only has 9 pins so the extra wires don't connect to anything on my car, but I was curious what the additional features the new mirror has that the old didn't
Wire colour wise all the 9 the old one has are present on the new, and the pan/tilt/heat/turn-indicator functions of the new mirror do work with my old controller, just curious if anyone knew what the other wires did/in what way is the premium mirror the car now has fitted different to the basic mirror?
