its really really noisy

yeah

so anyway im gonna try limiting the gas flow to the burner see if that helps

ooo arnt i dangerous

pmsl

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

its a **** coz as the burner roars it only comes on for a min at a time (b4 tripping the thermo)

and hence the heating is not working efficiently at all

i'll wait till my camera is charged and give you all a laugh

the plumbing in this house was put in by a deranged monkey on coke by the looks of things

every plumber who looks at it runs away after an hour

anyway dont worry about me i changed my first thermocouple when i was 12

its just that i've never come across this b4

waits for the H&S lecture

and prepares the comeback

your one years experience may make you want to check the pump then

yeah m8 working on new builds

i also have oxy acetaline qualifications and mig/tig tickets

im an electritian a technical climber a fully insured rigger and i build video projectors

the only reason i need my corgi ticket is that with it i can emegrate to australia and earn megabucks (anyone in the industry will tell you its about 40 /60 at best who actually have the relivent bit of paper)

**** tomorow i was gonna take the fire off find out the model and make

download the manual and figure it out for myself

just wondered if anyone had any quick ideas

im pretty sure the d***head who had it apart b4 (yes the corgi registered d***head) set the gas flow up too high

its really nothing ive come across b4 in residentual boilers

big boilers yes small ones no

why ask for help..you seem to know it all already... just dont kill your neighbors while you **** around

sorry just chanced upon this site and thought id get a second or third opinion

(knowing that at least one of them would be noooooooooooooooooooooo) :D

and its worth noteing i have no hay in my barn

should stopped at the first opinion... just get a corgi on reccomendation. there are a lot of guys that can service a backboiler without even needing to remove the fire

depends on the model

and burner and gauze and baffles and blow though with air

dirt alone wouldnt explain the noise and overheating

but yes standard m8

stupid chimney breast mounted boilers

no but the cokehead plumber would.... could be 2 seperate probs.

na the last guy was about 18 just passed his exams and it was his second job on his own

poor bloke took one look at the mess in the upstair cupboard and "phoned a friend"

we had an extra rad fitted so they upgraded the pump

but the boilers still a bit too small to handle it and ive a funny feeling his quick fix was to try and tweak the G P

basicly its set up wrong so im re tweak it tomorow

and wait till xmass 2020 for the housing assosiation to decide they can be bothered to give us the right size boiler

mind you i could allways turn off the rad in the spare room and dining room we dont use to solve that one
