Hi
we have an old coal fired back boiler surrounded with concrete in our chimney, i wanted to remove the boiler, this weekend i inserted a steel lindel into the chimmey above the concrete and then removed the concrete. Inside the chimney is another brick chimney stack that has the back boiler bricked into it, anyone have any suggests how to remove the rest of the boiler or am i at a dead end.

Love to but from looking at the inside stack it looks like it goes all the way up out of the roof...won't it collapse?

i would assume that the boiler will have been installed after the stack was built, therefore you should be able to remove it safely.
