Glad to see somebody considers the cost to the customer. A sign of an honest man who deserves to be recommended to others.
 
Spur from a radial, poo design but is allowed sometimes, my judgement depending on the upstream ocpd size etc.

can't have a spur from a radial.. by it's very definition, a radial is just one spur off another.. and can branch at any point..

In some of the books on 17th (the ECA's guide to 17th for a start), they show spurs from radials. If the cable size is the same as the main radial (eg 4mm/4mm) it's a branch. If it's smaller (4mm/2.5mm) it's a spur.
