bad smells

Hi there was just wondering if anyone could help me,

Had a dishwasher fitted by a friend a while ago. but just recently really bad smells have appearered in the area around the dw, but they come and go...

weve had the external drains checked and they were fine.

would it be to do with the internal drains? maybe a blockage? if so is there a method of clearing it/ locating it before i get help?

would really appreciate any help, thank you...

1) pull it out and check for leaks on the waste or supply

2) How is the DW waste dealt with? Standpipe and trap? Straight to a Tee under the sink?

just had a look, and the dish washer and wash mc (next to each other) both dischage into the same pipe with a u bend on bottom (stand pipe??)

take the u-bend apart and have a look.
does the dw have a filter.that might be blocked ?
