Baffled By Cylinder Hot Water Draw Off Leak After Removal Whilst Cold Water On

The cold is good correct - I always will have gravity fed hot - What does everyone with a hot water cylinder end up doing?

One of the following....
Fit a pump.
Change boiler to a combi.
Change to unvented cylinder.
Live with what they have ,and choose better suited taps.

Don't know if still available but venturi type showers (Trevi Boost?) used high pressure mains to pull in low pressure HW to give good flowrates even upstairs with very low HW heads, the problem with (normally) mixing high and low pressure water is that the mixing takes place at the lower pressure so lower flowrates.

What supplies your hot water at 4.5 bar ?
Are there non return valves on the cold supplies ?

The supply to the water heater is actually 6 bar and drops to 4.5bar coming out heated. The cold water is dropped after the boiler (priority flow system) as it comes as priority feed from the mains feed into the property
Why would there be a non return valve on the mains water supply?
