hi i replaced a power shower like for like and the hot water is not getting as hot as it should
the cold feed is direct from cold water storage tank
the hot feed is direct from a surrey flange at the cylinder
if i turn off or turn right down the cold supply the hot water gets lovely and hot
but with both on no such luck
i seem to get a steady flow of hot & cold water to the shower
i have checked filters they are all ok
many thanks
any ideas welcome
i have tried another shower and i still have the same problem

You sure the hot and cold supplies are connected to the correct hot and cold inlets? the standard now is cold on the right and hot on the left but some older showers had them the opposite way round so your new shower might be connected wrongly.

I would say your hot is still restricted by air not giving a full flow.

What shower is it ?

thanks seco
the shower is a Triton AS2000x
i found a small bore ballafix valves on the supplys
changed the hot one to large bore and run some hot into a container
maybe ill run some more off just to double check

When you get even flows on both hot/cold
If problem still happens check both nrv are moving freely and check the hot/cold plugs on the opposite hot/cold entries are both pushed in fully.
Also make sure you fitted the temp dial in the right position when fitting front cover.
