Hi all

just been googling trying to find an answer to this one and ended up on this forum so hope you can help:
Got a Bahama 100 about 8 years old (had loads of trouble) and the latest problem is a knocking/clicking sound coming from the actuator.
It appears to be the white slider on the side that is clicking back and forth.
The heating/water still works but its not very warm.
If its the actuator that is broken is it easy to change? Any other ideas would be appreciated (apart from scrapping the boiler!)

The actuator could be crunching as the diverter valve insternals are jammed and hence its pushing against something that will not move.

The head itself is dead easy to change, a little button pushed in, 1/8th turn and it pops off, then a simple plug unplgs and refits.

Take off the head and the little spindle in the valve it attaches to should push in and release itself back out with a little bit of force.

Very common problem but can be quite costly, the honeywell heads are about £90 then the internal service kit is about £35 I am sure.

When does the clicking happen?

Hi, and thanks for the quick replies...
The clicking occurs when the power is on and doesnt stop. Ive tried in both CH and HW mode and doesnt make any difference.
I wont try to take a part tonight but will have a go in the morning.
Any more detail on how to take a part or service would be realy appreciated.
Thanks again

Great reply also, i'l have a go tomorrow, ive done a google on the part itself and they seem to be about £45 for the powerhead alone. does that seem too cheap, maybe ive got the wrong bit??

Hi again

Had the 'front' off and pushed in the spindle (its quite stiff) and hot water flows OK.
Put the actuator back on and the white slider is sort of stuck in the middle of its range (not back nor forth) so its clicking when turned to either HW or CH.
Is this defiantly the actuator head that has gone? seems logical...
Thanks again

Replace the cartridge Prt No. 241361 before spending lots of money

Sorted thanks for all the advice, it was the cartridge that had gone stiff over time.
Thanks agaiin
