i have a 3.5 kg bag of the above grout which states that the product should be mixed "5 parts powder to 1 part water" (this seems simple at first ) but then they add "by weight " at the end of the sentence , can anyone advise me on how to mix the stuff to the correctly thickness and how , or is just 5 parts to one ?, great forum by the way

Add no more than an inch of water to a tub of about 6 inch diameter. Then add some grout and mix with a paddle in a drill. Keep adding powder and mixing until the consistency becomes like smooth peanut butter. Then it's ready to use.
Note: Don't overmix it and don't mix it on too fast a speed or you'll get air bubbles in it.
