Hi, we recently replaced the ballcock and float in the water tank in the loft due to the old one not shutting off and causing a leak. This was about a month ago.
All of a sudden a couple of days ago, when running the hot water a really loud banging started. My husband got in the loft and had a look.
When the water was coming back into the tank to fill it up it was causing the bar and float to 'bounce' thus causing the pipes to vibrate all around the house!!
Can anyone suggest why this has just started happening and what we can do to fix it. He did bend the bar up a bit as it was quite bent and this stopped it for a day but it has started again.
