I am considering laying solid bamboo across two types of floor, one being wooden floorboards, the other being particle floorboard. Any advice out there? Also, has anyone tried self adhesive underlay, and would this do away with the need to glue the tongue and grooves? Does this underlay have a DPM and would this make it unsuitable. Suppliers tend to recommend whatever they're selling.

Ye, no problem to use. Guess the underlay was called Elastilon. Simple to use and dont glue the joints at all. It is no good as a dpm tho. You dont want to be using any dpm/moister barrier on the wooden subfloor side anyway. This can cause the flooring to sweat. If you have a moister problem on the concrete side you should really put down a surface dpm. ( liquid dpm)
