Hello, I'm after a bit of advice, if anyone can help. When my heating is on its making a terrible racket if I bleed my radiators would this help? I've never done it before.

It might.

Ear muffs work better though.

Oh and loads of music.

Its a potterton boiler 6ys old. I've never bled my radiators? A work collegue suggested that I should do this regular? Should I do this when the heating is off or on?? Or maybe I should get me father to do it!! I do try to do my own DIY.

they only need bleeding if they`re cold at the top, and hot a few inches down...that`s air in them , If they`re hot @ top leave alone  " terrible racket" is way too vague for any diagnosis :?

Hi thanks for your reply. The radiators are hot all over. The noise is rather loud, bit scary as it sounds as though something could explode! There is some banging and bubbling noise Im trying to explain best I can.

Does sound of an over heating problem. With proper circulation a fault may have occured with the boiler?

Boiler stat?
Gas vlv sticking?
Pump over run?

Long shot is no bypass

Thankyou for your reply David. I don't really know what you are on about?? :? So I best get someone in to see to it.
