Hi, I'm pretty handy in that I take on most plumbing tasks and have been quite successful. I get that pipes need to clipped to stop movement etc however, long story short there's a void in my kitchen I know I didn't clip the pipes when renovating. At night and seemingly random times when the boiler isn't running, the pipes kart like a water hammer? No taps being run and heating off. I have sat at the boiler to see if it momentarily clicks on to cause the hammer but nothing? It's an ideal logic he30 about 4 years old. No major problems and serviced. It's actually happened since it was installed but very infrequently. So I just presumed the boiler clicked on for frost protection or something. Now I'm on the sofa at 2am and it's happening loads. Help! Please. Much appreciated

Push button toilet letting by into the pan. When the cistern water gets low the valve re-fills the cistern.
The fill valve switch off will give you your bump. Simples.

Hi Jeff and thanks so much for responding. But there really is nothing else going on in the house. Last night all is quiet I would have heard the toilet and known if in use. Could their be air in the pipes causing it randomly
