Hi all, first post here. I had a chemical DPC injected some time ago, and the tradesman filled the holes with what looks like concrete (my ignorance may be showing here). This has not been painted or sealed since. I am now getting a little bit of damp coming back in the same area. Before I go back to the damp guy, I wanted to check whether the fact that this is bare concrete is the problem.

If its a matter of waiting for some dry weather and letting things dry out before painting/sealing then what product should I use.

Doesn't look like a great job, where did you find them? Maybe better asking in the building forum.

well is that really a chemical dpc or a cream installation?

reason why i ask is,how on earth can that stop rising damp.the render is bridging the so called new install.
when i used to do this we had to cut the render back install a dpc and then fix and rerender a drip bead.this way we isolated the render from the new dpc.

I'm the consumer, so I don't know about the technicalities. As far as I am aware it was chemical. The paperwork makes reference to injecting a new DPC.

As gregers said!

Money for old rope! i was going to say get them back and do it properly but whats the point.
