Hi,
My kitchen sink is directly in front of the window. The tiles around the bottom of the window sill are all coming away, so my plan is to replace them. I've removed the old tiles, and essentially, undernearth, there is the concrete window sill, on top of which, it looks like someone has put in a few layers of wood to build the height up a bit. This has all got horribly damp/rotten with water from the sink/window before it was repaired, and has effectively disintegrated.
I want to rebuild a base on which to tile, but I'm reluctant to go for a similar approach in case the same thing happens again. Has anyone got any tips on what would be a good base to build it out of?
Cheers!
