Hello

I will be tiling the downstairs floors in the new year.

I am thinking of installing underfloor heating.
I found a nice and easy looking (to install) water fed one called 'Floor Rad' that basically connects to the existing central heating pipes. The kits are about £400 for a 18 square meters!!

Anyone know of any cheaper options that are as easy to install???

I think I'd prefer water/pipe type heating but would consider electric.

Any advise/tips will be appreicated ... Thanks ... Mick

Sounds like electric is your only option if you are just proposing to lay tiles on your existing floor...Expensive to run if it's to be the only heat source on an entire ground floor.

What area of floor do you intend to cover? What sort of floor do you have (solid?, timber?). What do you intend to cover the floor with afterwards (laminate, carpet, tiles?)
