Hi guys i have finished my bathroom off after that disater with the bath
i have fitted my basin it comes out of wall in brown solvent welded joint i have put a compression 32mm on it then a little bit of pipe then onto an s trap i have put rubber rings on compression joint etc but every time i connect it all up and let the water out it drips from somewhere i think its the pipe going into compresion :x
I dont no why its dripping after putting the black rubber rings in them
Any advice what to do if i put silone around it would it stop it

It's probably leaking where everyone's first basin installation leaks, down the thread of the waste. That's because the design is pathetic and there's nothing to stop it.
Put silicone on top of the nut which goes against the underside of the china, making sure it bridges the gap to the thread.
Good merchants (even Plumbcenter!!) sell a triangular section rubber washer for about £1.50 which does the job too.
