Bath problem help!!!!

We had a new bath fitted 1 1/2 years ago. Few days ago there was water coming through the ceiling -thought the waste pipe needed tightening. We finally had time to look today and the bath around the plug area seems to leaking. The seals etc are dry the water is definitely coming from the built in bath seal that is already there.
Question - will we need a new bath or can it be repaired???? (fingers x'd)

Have a look down plughole & see if there is a screw in the centre of it, if there is try tightening it.

Thanks hubby tried that it won't tighten - it's as tight as it will go. More help needed..

Undo it & smear silicon sealant on both sides of the rubber seal, also check the plastic bit that the overflow & trap connects to has not cracked.
