I've decided to replace an old bath front panel made out of a single piece of mdf with pvc tongue and grove cladding. I've cut all to the pieces to the correct dimensions and now faced trying to get all panels slotted in together.

Problem I've faced with is trying to get all the panels pushed in together between the 2 walls of the bath tub. The slot under the bath tub is tight. I'm at a loss on how to get all pushed in together without braking any panels.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

It will risk splitting the plastic as you say.

You might be able to start again from one end, working towards the other end, removing the skirting there to give a little more room to play with, and then cut the skirting to size so it butts up against the cladding.

You could cover any gap at the wall with a suitable plastic cover strip.
