Hello everyone,
I stumbled accross this forum and it seems like a good place to air my question.
The ceiling pull in the bathroom broke (the actual cord not the switch) so I have gotten a new one. However the internal configuration is different to the existing one. Now, i'm hoping that there is some kind of commonality between switches and that things are just labled a bit differently in the new one.
Here is the old switch as it is currently installed:

From top left connections are A1 > A2 > Earth > COM
And here is the newly purchased switch:

The new one effectivley has 4 connections also, but is labled differently.
It's also imortant to note than when the pull is pulled it also activates the extractor fan (red wire i think). The fan stays on as long as the light is and then turns itself off via self timer when the light is turned off.
So basically my question is how do i wire this sucker up? Have I gotten a completley wrong new switch or am I good to go. Aslong as I know what goes were I can do it, but I'm not going to go randomly wiring things in.
Any help appreciated.
Michael
