Errr you can not be serious (quote J McEnroe)
Can you match those tiles, do you think? If you can its possible to gradually build up the hole and tile over.
If thats a no go, how about a piece of white acrylic sheet which would overlap the hole edges? Not the best maybe but a quick, probably acceptable fix.
John :)

It difficult to tell from that angle but how I would go about it. I would temporary remove the fan build a small wooden frame recessed in the hole attached to the walls of the hole. a piece of plaster board cut to fill the gap and carefully screwed into the wooden frame with plaster board screws with a hole cut in for the fan. Then tile over plasterboard with tiles to match the current ones.

Glue piece of white pvc [offcut of soffit etc]over the area and cut new hole thru, will not be affected by moisture.

Two questions, who was the idiot?,what did you do about it?
Cheers

If you fill over the gap on the right then most probably that supply cable will be against the wiring regulations.
