I have a newly fitted Bathroom extractor fan with humidistat. Is it best to have bathroom window & door closed or open.
The fan is on the same external wall as window & is about 700mm apart
Door and window both closed.
There should be a gap under the door to allow air to enter the room and replace the extracted air.
If you leave the window open, air will be drawn in there and go out via the extractor, the result being that most of the air in the room never changes.
If the door is left open, damp air will go into the rest of your house.
